Yes I do! I do have a growth mindset toward information fluency skills! As I mentioned in my blog post #1, I teach in a BYOD school and my main goal is to learn about as many tools and ways to teach (French) while using technology. Already a month into the Information Fluency and Inquiry course and reflecting on how much I have learned. I am learning so much, my head hurts! Even today, I realized that I did not know that I had a growth mind set until I read about it and watched Carol Dweck: Mindset interview video on Youtube. Of course I need to improve the way I teach and talk to my students and I do intend to ask my students to create questions at the beginning of each units. I do want them to develop this same growth mind as I am discovering in myself versus the fixed mindset I too often see being displayed. I see that some of the techniques I use are promoting a growth mindset. I would not put myself through the wringers of a master degree at my age if I did not have a growth mind set, right?
Then there is the curation of online resources. That one is still in need of curation! My understanding of how it works is not clear yet and I am not sure how well I can work with this. It's coming, I am learning. I just don't know YET!
